I just found out that the DNA scarf won first place at the state fair. Wow. I really have to credit the designer, June Oshiro, though. She designed an extremely elegant scarf, which she was generous enough to share freely with the knitting and scientific community.
The lighting on the finished scarf wasn't the best, so I'm re-running the photo with the best lighting - you get the idea.

Oh, WOW! Congratulations! That is so exciting. It's silly, I know, but I'm just giddy for you. :) You should send June an email (if you haven't already) and share the good news. *I'm just finishing repeat #2 on my DNA.

Congratulations! Which State Fair is this?
I confess I have your blog in my feed reader and am not sure how I came about it.

Congratulations! (I'm making a DNA scarf myself, except I had to alter it to get 10 bonds per turn instead of 8.)

Congratulations!
Ah, the state fair. Makes me think of food on a stick. Al Sicherman's food columns. Caramel Knowledge. And more importantly, going through the halls to see the 4H projects and the textile and cooking competition displays....

Update weekend excitement. sp4thomasina is likely to be spotted stalking Ms. thomasina's state fair glory. Yep, my mother just called to coordinate our family get together this weekend. We're meeting in the area to go to the state fair. My nephew and niece need a rides partner. Mom and grandma aren't up to the role -- auntie to the rescue.
Now if only I'd finished the last part of the final sp4 gift! I'm THIS close and will likely finish this weekend. However, I left the rest of the prezzie at home this morning, so I'll have to pack it all up and mail it next week.
