Well, here I am at the milestone of the 100th post, at a little over a month into the blog. It has provided great motivation to actually finish projects -- likely the only reason the Fibonacci Windy City scarf exists as a finished object is due to the blog. I've gone from one finished object (the SnB Cat Bed) to five, and possibly six, if I decide the second Kitty Pi has felted enough (alas, I suspect it has another trip through the washer in its future).
It is also great for recording ideas (and for collecting geeky knitting ideas from the net, my own pet project). I don't know yet how useful it is as a journal of my learning experiences; perhaps I will enjoy looking back someday? I haven't used that aspect much. Perhaps others will find my mistakes useful!
(For the curious, the blog title comes from the chorus of a song by They Might Be Giants, We Want a Rock, off of the album, Flood.) Besides the fact that I like the song, it combines two of my favorite things, rocks and string. I suppose it also gives me the leeway to get all philosophical about what people really want... nah.
